The Lord is your light and your salvation. Who should cause you to fear? The Lord is the strength of your life; of whom shall you be afraid? Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart. – Psalm 27:1, 14

May you be a peacemaker, for then you shall be known as a child of God. May you love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. May it be known abroad that to those who strike you on the cheek, you offer the other also, and from those who take away your cloak, you do not withhold your coat. May you give to everyone who begs from you, and of those who take away your goods, may you have the compassion to not ask for it from them again. May it be said of you that as you wish that others would do to you, so you do to them. – Matthew 5

May nothing – not tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness or peril, or sword, neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other thing be able to separate you from the love of God.  – Romans 8:35-39

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. - Romans 15:13

Remember what is written, that the human eye has not seen, and the mortal ear has not heard, and it has not even entered into the heart of man, the wonderful things that God has prepared for those who love him. – 1 Corinthians 2:9

May God be merciful to you and bless you. May he cause his face to shine upon you. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God the Father, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you, both now, and on into eternity. – Numbers 6:24-26; 2 Corinthians 13:14

I never stop giving thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers. I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so you may know

·         what is the hope of His calling,

·         what are the glorious riches of His inheritance among the saints,

·         and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power to us who believe,

according to the working of His vast strength. – Ephesians 1:16-19

Peace to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all who have undying love for our Lord Jesus Christ. - Ephesians 6:23-24 HCSB

May the peace of God, which passes all understanding, keep your heart and mind in the knowledge and love of God, and of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord; and the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be upon you, and remain with you always. – based on Philippians 4:7

And let the peace of the Messiah, to which you were also called in one body, control your hearts. Be thankful. Let the message about the Messiah dwell richly among you, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, and singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. - Colossians 3:15-17

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely. And may your spirit, soul, and body be kept sound and blameless for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. - 1 Thessalonians 5:23

Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus--the great Shepherd of the sheep--with the blood of the everlasting covenant, equip you with all that is good to do His will, working in us what is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. - Hebrews 13:20-21

Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. - 2 John 1:3

May the only God our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom be glory, majesty, power and authority, protect you from stumbling and make you stand in the presence of His glory, blameless joyful.  – Jude 1:24-25

I hope that you are looking forward to when we shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; to when we shall need neither the sun nor any heat. For then the Lamb will sit on the throne and feed us, and shall lead us to living fountains of waters; and God shall wipe away all tears from our eyes. – Revelation 7:16-17

And may the first words you hear in heaven be "well done."

Now you will feel no rain, for each of you will be shelter for the other.

Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be warmth to the other.

Now there is no more loneliness, for though you are two, you share but one life.

Go now to your dwelling to enter into the days of your life together.

May your days be good and long upon the earth.

And may the peace of God go with you always.

May there be a generation of children on the children of your children.

And that each one who is here this night does rest.

But the best ships are friendships, and may ours always be.

May your thoughts be as glad as the angels. May your heart be as light as a song. May each day bring you bright happy hours, That stay with you all year long.

May your heart be warm and happy with the lilt of laughter every day in every way and forever and ever after.

There are only two kinds of people in the world, those who know you and those who wish they did.

May your home always be too small to hold all your friends.

May the most you wish for be the least you get.

May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light and may God’s love pursue you each morning and night.

May you always walk in sunshine; may you never want for more and may angels rest their wings right beside your door.

May the hills caress you. May lakes and rivers bless you. May the love of the Father enfold you. May the blessings of the Son behold you.

May Hashem make clear to you each road.

May Adonai make safe to you each steep.

When you stumble may He hold you;

When you fall, may He lift you;

When hard-pressed with evil,

May the Lord God deliver you

And bring you home to glory.

Let nothing disturb you,

Nothing affright you;

All things are passing,

God never changes!

Patient endurance attains all things;

Who God possesses

In nothing is wanting;

God alone suffices.

wherever He may send you.
May He guide you through the wilderness
And protect you through the storms.
May He bring you home rejoicing
At the wonders He has shown you.

May you be at peace, both with yourself and with all of God’s children.

May you love, following the example of good men of old who also found comfort and help in God.

May the God of our ancestors help you both in this world and in the world that is to come.

for the tempted

May you lie down tonight pure and holy

With neither sin nor its shadow

Lying down with you.

for the hesitant

May you abandon yourself into God’s hands.

Wherever He leads,

                        You being ready for all and accepting all.

May He do with you:

As He wills,

            You being thankful

Whatever He wills,

You being glad,

May only His will be done in you,

            You asking naught else.

May you no longer be your own;

God putting you where He wills;

Ranking you with whom He wills;

Putting you to doing, to suffering;

Employing you or laying you aside;

Exalting you or bringing you low;

Filling or emptying you;

Granting you all things or nothing.

May you freely and heartily yield all

To Hashem’s pleasure and disposal.

As it is bound on earth,

So let it be bound in heaven.

May the most powerful Holy Spirit

Come down upon you

And subdue you.

From Heaven,

Where the ordinary

Is made glorious,

And glory seems

But ordinary,

May He bathe you

With the brilliance

Of His light

Like dew.

May the Lord God keep you

Shelter you under His wings,

Be your light in darkness,

Your comfort in pain,

And your song in the night.

May the word of God direct you.
From this day and for evermore.

May your prayers be deep and constant.

May they sustain and uplift you and connect you to the living God.

May they take you deep inside to your sacred inner temple

Then take you out into the world

to build the kingdom,

as only you can do.

May Christ's light illumine and guide you.
May His shield overshadow you.
Christ under you;
Christ over you;
Christ beside you
On your left and on your right.
May He be within and without you,
Lowly and meek, yet all powerful.

General

May Almighty God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit bless you and keep you, now and forever.

May you always have:
Enough happiness to keep you sweet;
Enough trials to keep you strong;
Enough success to keep you eager;
Enough faith to give you courage;
And enough determination to do what is right, come what may.

May you be blessed by the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ

Who has chosen you to be blameless and holy before Him.

May you fully grasp the redemption; the forgiveness of your trespasses,

Purchased at the cost of His blood.

May you rejoice in your adoption into His family

Through the atoning work of the Messiah.

May your life bring Him praise

For the glory of His grace.

May you enjoy the lavish gifts of wisdom and insight

Granted to you but for the use of all.

May you find hope in the inheritance that is now yours

As a co-heir with the Lord Jesus Christ.

And may you rest securely under the Holy Spirit’s seal.

These things I pray for you and yours in the name of our Master. Amen.

May the Father look upon you with joy.

May the Holy Spirit live within you comfortably.

And may the lordship of the Son always find preeminence in your life.

If there is righteousness in the heart,
there will be beauty in the character.

If there is beauty in the character,
there will be harmony in the home.

If there is harmony in the home,
there will be order in the nation.

If there is order in the nation,
there will be peace in the world.
So let it be.

May you possess:

Faith in God

With purity of heart;

Simplicity of life

With purity of religion;

Generosity

With purity of love.

May your faith be:

Dynamic yet unwavering,

Consistent but not static,

Audacious yet mature,

Spontaneous and radical,

Committed even when not coherent,

Visible and yet possessed of hidden life,

Ecumenically open and often experimental,

Disciplined but institutionally unsettled,

Almost monastic but certainly apostolic.

Knowing that Christ sits enthroned in heaven,

May Christ be enthroned in your heart.

Making your heart and heaven one.

May the living God of the universe,

The Light of lights,

Enlighten your dark heart from His holy place;

May the Spirit’s wisdom come to your heart’s tablet

And write of grace in the Savior’s blood.

May the Lord, our great Creator, bless you this day;

Give you peace and hope and courage along your way.

May you stay within God’s keeping,

In your joy, and in your weeping.

God be with you in all your ways.

May you find happiness and satisfaction in your work. May daily problems never cause you undue anxiety, nor the desire for earthly possessions, dominate your life. Instead, may your heart’s first desire be always for God’s good things.

May the God of love and peace

Abide in you,

            Guide your steps,

                        And confirm your heart in his love

                                    Now and forever.

May you feel so weaned from earth and your affections be placed so much in heaven, that you could leave us behind without regret, yet not love us less, but God more.

May you live in such a way that at the hour of death you may rejoice and not fear. Be always in a state of readiness, and so lead your life that death may never take you unprepared.

May you be:

generous in prosperity,

thankful in adversity,

fair in your judgment,

guarded in your speech,

a lamp unto those who walk in darkness,

a home to the stranger,

eyes to the blind,

a guiding light to the feet of the erring,

a breath of life to the body of humankind,

a dew to the soil of the human heart,

and a fruit upon the tree of humility.

May Almighty God, whom none can evade, the Roaring Thunder that splits mighty trees, the All-Seeing Lord up on high who sees even the footprints of a deer on a rock mass here on Earth and the Cornerstone of Peace not hesitate to respond to your call.

May those plagued with sufferings of body and mind be quickly freed from their illnesses. May those frightened cease to be afraid, and may those bound be free. May the powerless find power, and may people think of befriending one another. May those who find themselves in trackless, fearful wilderness-- the children, the aged, the unprotected-- be guarded by God’s angels, and may they swiftly find home.

May God lead you from the unreal to the real; lead you from darkness to light; lead you from death to immortality. May there be peace in celestial regions as well as on earth. May the waters be appeasing; the herbs be wholesome, and may trees and plants bring peace to all. May His Law propagate peace all through the world. May all things be a source of peace to you. And may His peace itself, while bestowing peace on all, come to you especially.

I pray to God that He will show you how to do your part in eradicating all the misery in the world: that your understanding will triumph over ignorance, that your generosity will triumph over indifference, that your trust will triumph over contempt, and that in your life, truth will triumph over falsehood.

May the blessings of light be upon you, light without and light within, and in all your comings and goings.

May you live as long as you want and never want as long as you live. May you always have walls for the winds, a roof for the rain, tea beside the fire, laughter to cheer you, those you love near you, And all your heart might desire.

May you have endless love, enough money, and too many friends. Health be yours, whatever you do and may God send many blessings to you!

May you live long, die happy, and rate a mansion in heaven.

May your glass be ever full. May the roof over your head be always strong. And may you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you're dead.

May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. And rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

May the roof above us never fall in. And may the friends gathered below it never fall out.

May you have warm words on a cold evening, a full moon on a dark night, and the road downhill all the way to your door.

May your neighbors respect you, trouble neglect you, the angels protect you, and heaven accept you.

May there always be work for your hands to do.

May your purse always hold a coin or two.

May the sun always shine warm on your windowpane.

May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain.

May the hand of a friend always be near you,

and may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

Bless you and yours as well as the cottage you live in. May the roof overhead be well thatched and those inside be well matched.

May you be poor in misfortune, rich in blessings, slow to make enemies, and quick to make friends. But rich or poor, quick or slow, may you know nothing but happiness from this day forward.

May your thoughts be as glad as the angels. May your heart be as light as a song. May each day bring you bright happy hours, That stay with you all year long.

May peace and plenty be the first to lift the latch on your door, and happiness be guided to your home by the candle of my love.

May the face of every good news and the back of every bad news be toward you. May the roof over our heads never fall in and may we as friends never fall out.

May the roof over our heads never fall in; may we as friends never fall out and may God grant that I get to see you gray and combing your grandchildren's hair.

Count your blessings instead of your crosses;

Count your gains instead of your losses.

Count your joys instead of your woes;

Count your friends instead of your foes.

Count your smiles instead of your tears;

Count your courage instead of your fears.

Count your full years instead of your lean;

Count your kind deeds instead of your mean.

Count your health instead of your wealth;

And love your neighbor as much as yourself.

May you get on your knees and thank the Lord you're on your feet.

May God grant you many years to live, for sure He must be knowing that the earth has kind souls all too few, and heaven is overflowing.

Wherever you go and whatever you do, may you be aware that the love of God is there with you. And may the hinges of our friendship never grow rusty.

May your hand be outstretched to all you meet.
And may all men say 'Brother' when they speak of you.

May the land be fertile beneath your feet.
May your days be gentle as the sun-kissed dew.

Until we meet again...
May the kindness of God precede you.
May the wisdom of God be with you.
May the light of God follow you.

May realize that

The Lord is beside you to comfort you

The Lord is above you to watch over you

The Lord is behind you keeping you safe

And the Lord is before you lighting the way.

Humorous

May your belly never grumble
May your heart never ache.
May your horse never stumble,
May your cinch never break.

May you have the hindsight to know where you've been,
The foresight to know where you are going,
And the insight to know when you have gone too far.

Here's to the four hinges of society.

May you fight, steal, lie and drink.

When you fight, may you fight for justice.

When you steal, may you steal souls from the devil.

When you lie, may it be beside your sweetheart.

And when you drink, may you drink with me.

When we drink, we get drunk. When we get drunk, we fall asleep. When we fall asleep, we commit no sin. When we commit no sin, we go to heaven. So, let's all get drunk, and go to heaven!

May you have food and raiment, a soft pillow for your head, may you be forty years in heaven before the devil knows you're dead.

Here's to your coffin! May your coffin have six handles of finest silver! May your coffin be carried by six fair young maids! And may your coffin be made of finest wood from a 100-year-old tree, that I'll go plant tomorrow!

Health and a long life to you. Land without rent to you. A child every year to you. And if you can't go to heaven, may you at least die in your lover’s arms.

May you have no frost on your spuds, no worms on your cabbage. May your goat give plenty of milk and if you inherit a donkey, may she be in foal.

May you get all your wishes but one so you always have something to strive for!

As you slide down the banister of life, may the splinters never point the wrong way!

May you live to be a hundred years, with one extra year to repent!

May your enemies never meet a friend.

Here's a toast to your enemies' enemies!

May those who love you love you. And those that don't love you, may God turn their hearts. And if He doesn't turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles, so you'll know them by their limping.

Always remember to forget the things that made you sad. But never forget to remember the things that made you glad. Always remember to forget the friends that proved untrue. But never forget to remember those that have stuck by you. Always remember to forget the troubles that passed away. But never forget to remember the blessings that come each day. I remember you.

Here's to you and yours and to mine and ours. And if you and yours ever come across mine and ours, I hope that mine and ours will do as much for you and yours as you and yours have done for mine and ours!

May the Lord keep you in His hand and never close His fist too tight.
