Ab - Ab was the Babylonian name for the fifth month in the sacred calendar. It was the eleventh month of the civil calendar. It was apparently around our present-day July and August. This would place it during the dry season which was when grapes, figs and olives ripened. The Bible refers to it as “the fifth month”.
