Accomplishments

Obeying God is life’s greatest accomplishment.

• Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 HCSB When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is: fear God and keep His commands, because this is for all humanity. 14 For God will bring every act to judgment, including every hidden thing, whether good or evil.

Getting ready for heaven, preparing for eternity in God’s heavenly home, is not accomplished by any work we do but simply by faith, believing that Jesus Christ died for our sins so that we wouldn’t have to. Salvation, this greatest of accomplishments, is not the work of our hands but the work of god in our heart.

• Romans 1:17 HCSB For in it God's righteousness is revealed from faith to faith, just as it is written: The righteous will live by faith.

God planned before he accomplished- this is a good model for us to follow.

• Isaiah 25:1 HCSB LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You. I will praise Your name, for You have accomplished wonders, plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.
• Acts 2:23 HCSB Though He was delivered up according to God's determined plan and foreknowledge, you used lawless people to nail Him to a cross and kill Him.

It is impossible for one person to play a duet or a trio. It is hard to play football or soccer without teamwork. It is hard to have a happy marriage if only one mate works at it. Two people can actually do more than twice as much as one- as long as they are pulling in the same direction. To accomplish the most we need to try to find like-minded and like-called people and team together with them.

• Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 HCSB Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their efforts. 10 For if either falls, his companion can lift him up; but pity the one who falls without another to lift him up. 11 Also, if two lie down together, they can keep warm; but how can one person alone keep warm? 12 And if somebody overpowers one person, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not easily broken.

There is a healthy satisfaction from accomplishment, which includes thanksgiving to God for what he has done through us. But it is arrogance to think we did the deed all by ourselves.

• 1 Corinthians 4:7 HCSB For who makes you so superior? What do you have that you didn't receive? If, in fact, you did receive it, why do you boast as if you hadn't received it?
