seat is generally known as the Bimah seat. For a better understanding of the
origins of the word and its historical usage consider Matthew 27:19; Acts
18:12; 25:10. This is where the Lord will (as in the Parable of the Talents)
require of us an accounting of what we did with the resources He assigned to
us. This is “trial by fire” mentioned in 1 Corinthians 3.
I am not sure of
the timing of that judgment. I am aware of multiple theories, but that is all
they are. Since the Scriptures remain unclear (at least to me) on the issue, I
will not rule on that matter. It suffices to know that we will undoubtedly face
Yahweh Shaphat.
