I would generally agree with the interpretation you found here regarding a Christian’s discipline. I would add that we see some of the results in the Corinthian church. Because they stubbornly kept abusing the Lord’s Supper (Passover), they came under God’s judgment. The result? Some of them were sick and some had even died (1 Corinthians 11:29-30)!
